Mammography, Advanced Technical Certificate

Program Entrance Requirements: The Mammography Advanced Technical Certificate is designed for working professionals who have a current professional credential from ARRT and have completed an A.S. degree, or higher, in Radiography from a regionally accredited institution. This is a limited access course and requires an application for admissions based on the entrance requirements listed above.
Program Description: This course prepares the student with knowledge and skills in Mammography. The program will provide a comprehensive curriculum in the study and clinical practice of Mammography, including evolving technical skills. Graduates are eligible to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) mammography certification exam. Visit the program’s website for additional information. http://www.arrt.org/ .
Additional Program Information: Program applicants who have prior criminal proceedings, disciplinary actions were taken by a state or federal regulatory authority or certification board, and/or honor code (academic) violations should initiate an Ethics Review Pre-Application process with the ARRT prior to starting the program. This review process is done to avoid potential denial of eligibility to take the exam or delays when applying to take the certification exam. Applicants should visit the ARRT Website at www.arrt.org for further information. In order to successfully progress through the Radiography Program, students must achieve all cognitive, affective, and psycho motor objectives.

Upon completing this ATC, graduates will be eligible to sit for the following industry certification:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration in Mammography Exam. Individuals who successfully pass their examination receive a certificate that confers upon its holder the right to use the title Registered Technologist and its abbreviation RT(R) (M).
Externship experience
