Academic Success Centers
The Academic Success Centers (ASCs) provide tutoring services and resources to reinforce course concepts and enhance learning in a welcoming, collaborative environment for currently enrolled and registered Broward College students. Tutors assist with a variety of subjects by appointment or on a walk-in basis. Students are encouraged to use ASC resources early and often to build strong study skills and become confident, independent learners. ASC services include:
- Academic support areas and tutoring* in accounting, business, computer technology, economics, English for Academic Purposes (EAP), foreign language, math, science, STEM, and writing
- Writing support (brainstorming, drafting, feedback, citations, and more)
- In-person and remote tutoring
- One-on-one and group appointments
- Workshops and exam reviews
- Study rooms and collaborative project spaces
- Calculator loans (short and long-term)
- Laptop loans (short-term)
- Textbook loans (short-term)
- Computer centers with printing, scanning, and faxing

Online Tutoring Services
Online tutoring is available 24/7 to currently enrolled and registered Broward College students via their myBC or Brightspace by D2L accounts. Students can access practice tests, review materials, interactive tutoring sessions, and more. Live tutoring is available on a limited basis. Each student receives a set number of live tutoring minutes per semester and can monitor usage with the minute counter.
Classroom Support
The Academic Success Centers partner with faculty to introduce students to ASC services, support classroom activities, identify student needs, and develop new initiatives to help students succeed. Faculty can arrange collaborations, classroom visits, or orientations by contacting their campus ASC.
