Program Description: The Associate of Science in Nuclear Medicine Technology program is a limited access program. This program prepares students to become Nuclear Medicine Technologists. Nuclear Medicine Technologists prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients and perform diagnostic procedures on virtually every organ system in the human body by using highly sophisticated computerized detection systems to produce and process images. Technical Certificates represents a subset of specific Health Science courses within degree programs and are not awarded to students as a stand-alone certificate for employment purposes.

Completion of the Technical Certificate Program will not provide students eligibility to sit for the registry nor work as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification exam & subsequently apply to the state of Florida for licensure, and Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board.
