Program Entrance Requirements: HS Diploma or GED. The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program is a limited access program. Admission to the college does not guarantee admission into the program. Students are required to complete a supplemental application and meet specific criteria. There are a limited number of students admitted into the program each year. Program Description: The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is milestone one (1) of three leading to an Associate Degree in Emergency Medical Services. Satisfactory completion of the EMT Applied Technology Diploma program will enable the student to take the Florida State EMT Examination and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians EMT Examination.
