  • Critical Thinking
    • CLO 1: 1.0 Write precise, clear and coherent definitions of appropriate SI units of measurement, and, to use dimensional analysis in solving quantitative word problems, and, to perform basic vector operations in unit vector notation. Students will identify and analyze relevant information presented in various formats such as graphs, tables, diagrams and/or mathematical formulation. Students will solve real world problems using critical thinking skills and knowledge developed from this course.
    • CLO 2: 2.0 Write precise, clear and coherent definitions of appropriate concepts. Using algebra and trigonometry, analyze and solve quantitative word problems, involving kinematics, Newtonian dynamics of translational and rotational motion, and static equilibrium.
    • CLO 3: 3.0 Write precise, clear and coherent definitions of appropriate concepts. Using algebra and trigonometry, analyze and solve quantitative word problems involving work, energy, power and the conservation laws.
    • CLO 4: 4.0 Write precise, clear and coherent definitions of appropriate concepts. Using algebra and trigonometry, analyze and solve quantitative word problems involving a particle or system of particles undergoing simple harmonic motion.
    • CLO 5: 5.0 Write precise, clear and coherent definitions of the properties of matter. Use the laws of thermodynamics to analyze and solve quantitative word problems that involve phase changes and other macroscopic changes in the properties of matter.
