CLO 1: 1.0 The student will be able to understand the cultural legacy and history of the Spanish language and pronounce the basic sounds of the Spanish language.
CLO 4: 4.0 The student will be able to analyze the Spanglish phenomenon in the U.S. and master the use of definite/indefinite articles and Spanish written accent rules.
CLO 6: 6.0 Upon the completion of this unit, the student will be able to interpret proverbs and sayings through selected cultural readings and identify the gender of nouns and nationalities.
CLO 7: 7.0 Through the use of multi-media and selected readings, the student will be able to discuss and evaluate Hispanic films and acquire a command of the use of nouns, new vocabulary, and grammatical structures.
